Kay Watts, Smiling Mind

Kay WattsKay Watts comes from a background in Health and Wellbeing. Given her passion for children’s health, Kay was excited by the Smiling Mind philosophy and the simple, practical tools designed to allow each individual to look after their own minds and self-correct. Becoming part of the team was an opportunity she felt she could not miss and, officially came on board in January 2015.

Following a degree in Social Administration, Kay began her working career in the not for profit sector with UK organization Help The Aged. This involved running educational campaigns through schools resulting in fund-raising events. A stressful job, but luckily Kay had been introduced to meditation at University and had eagerly joined up to learn (much to the amusement of her peers at the time). Over the years, Kay has investigated and practiced many different mediation techniques.

For the past 15 years Kay has been a Complimentary Medicine Practitioner where she established The Children’s Natural Medicine Clinic in Melbourne. She also ran workshops online for parents around the globe to explain how to use natural medicine in the home with children. Throughout this time Kay was also a Lecturer at the Southern School of Natural Therapies.

A mother of three adult children, Kay sees Mindfulness and Meditation as the most exciting tool available, to enable young people to stand in their full potential at every stage of their lives.
